PRIVIA – A Success Story Continues!
CASIO updates its line-up with three further AiF models
After the presentation of the new AiF sound source in PRIVIA models PX-200
and PX-800 in spring, now is the time for next chapter of the PRIVIA product
story to be opened. Presumably in December, new models PX-120, PX-320
and PX-720 will be hitting the market, adding three more Instruments featuring
top notch AiF sound source to the range. So then there will already be
five PRIVIA digital pianos causing a furore in the scope of beginner instruments
with 128-note polyphony and that uniquely excellent sound.
Again, the compact CASIO top instruments present themselves with significant
new and further developments. Especially in our paragon disciplines,
sound and keyboard, as well as in our extended range of benefits, decisive
quality hikes have been surmounted, of course without inflicting the habitually
outstanding value our clients receive for their money. Consistently,
CASIO continues the PRIVIA story in line with the company philosophy.
New sound material: Thanks to a broad variety of new, elaborately sampled
piano sounds, the 128-note AiF sound source will convince aficionados with
their improved authenticity and brilliance.
Two piano setting keys: The popular function for fast access to the high
value Grand Piano Sound has been extended. Now two different positions
are available for the „piano sound at the tip of your fingers“. „Classic“ for a
soft, unobtrusive sound, and „modern“ for a brighter, more brilliant character.
Improved CPZ Mk2 keyboard: In order to reduce the mechanical side
noises further yet, the felt material used to stop the hammers has been
improved. In addition, the scaled hammer action was designed even more
economically by shortening the hammers; at the same time, the resonating
body is enlarged and the loudspeaker system functions even more efficiently.
DUETT function and PANEL lock: These innovations offer two further novel
features for a yet wider range of applications. On the one hand, the DUETT
function is ideal for teaching, as teachers and students can play simultaneously.
For this, the keyboard can be divided into two separate ranges, which can be
transposed individually.
Using the PANEL Lock function, the control panel is protected against inadvertent
readjustment – a system comparable to the keylock in mobile phones.
These new functions are to be found in all three new PRIVIA models, in
addition, the specifications have been extended with regard to the
respective model positioning.
PX-120 – even lighter, even more stylish
Hard to believe: The „upgrade“ has yielded PX-120 a further weight loss
of half a kilo. In spite of this, all features distinguishing the new AiF
models are on board. PX-120 runs up with the following specifications:
- 11 AiF-tones
- 128-note polyphony
- 20 piano-rhythms
- 60 songs
- song memory
- standard MIDI In/Out
- metronome
- 2 loudspeakers / 8 Watts + 8 Watts
The new fashionable casing lends PX-120 a thoroughly stylish appearance
to be continued in the matching stand (optional). All in all a perfect
introduction to the world of compact digital pianos. And best of all:
In spite of all these innovations, the price, amounting to EUR 649.—
(recommended retail price), remains the same (instrument presumably
available from the middle December 2007).
PX-320 - top in storage & rhythms
New PX-320 features CASIO’s best rhythms on stage (from the newest
keyboard models CTK-810 / WK-110) and offers a staggering 96 registrations
(assigned to 8 banks with 12 set-ups) – three times the capacity
of the previous model. The specifications of this flexible stage piano
are as follows:
- 202 tones (incl. 128 GM sounds)
- 128-note polyphony
- 70 rhythms
- 60 songs
- 3.1 Mb Flash ROM memory
- 96 registrations (8 banks x 12 set-ups)
- SD card slot (max. 2 GB)
- USB MIDI terminal (98/XP/Vista compatible)
- standard MIDI In/Out
- metronome
- line-in / line-out
- 4 loudspeakers / 8 Watts + 8 Watts
Apropos: PX-320 is already compatible with vista, the new Windows
operating system. The recommended retail price for PX-320 is EUR
799.— (presumably available from end of December 2007).
PX-720 - flatters the ear and the eye
PX-720 is based upon PX-120, yet places completely different emphasis
in its appearance. The stylish casing and the integrated stand with
their dark wooden look make PX-720 an assorted eye catcher in any
modern living environment. Thanks to the loudspeakers integrated in the
stand, the sound appears even more voluminous than in smaller brother
PX-120.The high quality pedals of massive, silver metal also contribute
to bringing PX-720 into the centre of focus.
- 11 AiF-tones
- 128-note polyphony
- 60 songs
- song memory
- standard MIDI In/Out
- metronome
- 2 loudspeakers / 8 Watts + 8 Watts
With a recommended retail price of EUR 899,—, PX 720 sets the right
standard also with regard to pricing (presumably available from the
middle of December 2007).
