PRESS RELEASE November 15, 2004
GDM awards "Product Oscar" to the innovative Digital Piano from CASIO
Music shops from throughout Germany - all members of the GDM - have selected the PRIVIA PX-100 as the 2003/2004 product of the year. At the anniversary celebrations to mark the association's 175th birthday, CASIO had the honour of being presented with the coveted trophy.

When selecting the "Product of the year", the GDM initially requests the members to nominate products for the various prize categories. These nominations are entered in a selection list which is then sent to the music dealers so that the favourites can be selected. In the 2003/2004 product year, the PX-100 from CASIO impressed the jury of experts beyond belief. This is a suitable point to offer a genuine thank you to all the music partners who voted in favour of the PRIVIA!

CASIO sees this award from the music business as a welcome acknowledgement of its strategy of adding a beginner category in the form of the PRIVIA family to the market for digital pianos. This committed strategy has borne fruit - the music dealers value the PX-100 as an outstanding product, which ultimately acts as a powerful sales generator.

The GDM is an association of music shops from throughout Germany and has around 800 members. It represents the interests of German music shops to authorities, organisations and other associations, looks after securing the next generation of music dealers and organises communication between the members.
